Our Story
BRAINBOW celebrates neurodiversity and mental health through fun, colourful accessories. Our pieces combine playful design with meaningful messages to inspire self-expression, acceptance, connection, and well-being. BRAINBOW encourages everyone to embrace their uniqueness and "wear their weird." Like the hues of a rainbow, we believe differences are essential to creating an awe-inspiring whole.
BRAINBOW is a small, home-based business located in the unceded territory of the Gitumden Clan of the Wet’suwet’en peoples in Smithers, BC, Canada.
Our Origin Story
BRAINBOW was born during the summer of 2023 as a creative outlet during a challenging time for our family. It all began with using letter beads to craft bracelets with messages including “Good Enough,” “Shut Up Brain,” and "Stop Talking." What started as a personal project quickly grew into something more meaningful. Our journey took an exciting turn when a set of bracelets earned a first-place ribbon at the local fall fair!
A Fledgling Business
As the seasons changed, we showcased our creations at local craft markets, offering a colorful range of bracelets and accessories. The buzz surrounding our booth caught the attention of CBC, leading to an interview that helped share our story with a broader audience. (Listen to the interview here).
At BRAINBOW, the fusion of my fascination with the brain and my daughter's love for rainbows forms the heart of everything we do. ❤️ 🧠 🌈
